Having suffered a fair share of injuries as a young athlete, Tyler was introduced to Athletic Therapy and Osteopathy at a young age. The human body is in constant adjustment to maintain optimal function— pain is the body’s way of telling us that there is a problem and it can no longer compensate to save its functions. The complexity and beauty of the human machine is what led Tyler to pursue a career in the field of athletic therapy and osteopathy.
Tyler completed his Bachelor of Science at Concordia University in Montréal in the Exercise Science program with a specialization in Athletic Therapy in spring of 2013. This prepared him with the knowledge and skill-set necessary to treat as an athletic therapist and teach as a personal trainer. He passed his national Athletic Therapy exam in November 2013 and has been a certified Athletic Therapist ever since. His thirst for knowledge has led him to refine his exercise prescription to target the proper areas of the body in order to help his clients with injury prevention, as well as rehabilitation.
After having graduated from the Athletic Therapy program, Tyler immediately began his studies in Osteopathy at the well-established Collège d’études ostéopathiques de Montréal. He will enter his fifth year to complete the first cycle of this educational chapter in September 2017. He feels that the tactile precision and osteopathic outlook on the body as a whole has helped him grow as an athletic therapist.
Having played many sports throughout his childhood, Tyler believes that physical activity is important for the body and mind and is an integral component of physical health. He is adamant that athletic therapy helps keep the body pain-free so that his clients can enjoy the many benefits of physical activity.
